Does post secondary education indoctrinate kids, turn them into liberals?
No.
well, sometimes, but no.
sometimes a bad school will tell you what you should think, but proper educational institutions don’t do that. They’ll provide information, and give you the tools to understand what that information means, and what it doesn’t mean.
post secondary teaches people how to think for themselves
how to seek information, verify whether it’s valid
it doesn’t seek to change your mind, it seeks to give you tools to understand things.
it also gives you specific, required information for certain professions – if you want to be a lawyer, it teaches you about laws, rules you need to follow in court rooms, what you’re allowed to say and do, consequences if you stray from those rules.
If you want to be a doctor, or a nurse, it teaches you about biology, human physiology, and statistics
if you want to be a therapist, a psychologist, a psychiatrist, it gives you lessons on how our minds work, things you can do to help people deal with a myriad of different things.
sadly, that one comes with learning to manipulate people effectively, it’s a very effective educational path for people with abusive impulses to take to learn the skills to be effective at controlling other people.
but it doesn’t “make” you anything – it gives you tools to make up your own mind. It doesn’t change the things you believe, it gives you the tools to question those beliefs, but it doesn’t force you to use them.
you’ll find that most of the most effective leaders, from all points on the political spectrum, are well educated – some use what they learned to better understand the world, so they can effectively navigate leadership, and make the world a better place. Some use it to manipulate people, to better entrench power, and deceive people.
Education is powerful – but what it is to you is going to vary depending on what you want out of it.
